Bearing Race Starter Kit

$1,599.99 USD

Important. This kit needs at least one Adapter Kit in order to operate. Please select from the drop-down menu below.

Bearing races can now be removed and installed precisely in minutes while the wheels remain on the hub. This is a hydraulically powered kit that horizontally services bearing races when used together with bearing specific adapters.

  • 20 tons of pulling power for efficient removal and installation of the race
  • Manufactured from high-grade steel for strength and durability

After the wheel and hub assembly have been removed from the truck, the Hydraulic Bearing Race Starter Kit is utilized to remove old races and install new ones with ease.

Removing and reinstalling the wheels can be time consuming—for technicians and their customers. Lug nuts require re-torquing after the first 50 to 100 miles of service, meaning the truck is off the road and back in the shop. By leaving the wheel mounted to the hub, the Bearing Race Starter Kit not only reduces shop time and reduces the likelihood of a wheel-off situation, but improves the lifespan of the wheel studs by not unnecessarily re-torquing them.

The Bearing Race Starter Kit also includes an aluminum ring to mitigate the risk of damage to ABS ring located on the inboard side of the hub.

Be consistent and confident no matter how seized your races are.

Our patent-pending method for installing bearing races seats the new race perpendicular to the bore and utilizes bearing specific adapters to apply even pressure until the race is perfectly seated—every time.

Traditional methods notoriously cause damage to the walls of the bore as the race cocks from side to side. Our system mitigates this damage and eradicates the inevitable slag being burnt into the hub

Your time is valuable. Why not save it.

Technicians who use our Bearing Race Service Kits benefit from a 25-30% reduction in service time, with time savings upwards of thirty minutes per hub!

4,100,000 workplace injuries occur each year in the United States.

Servicing bearing races is no easy feat, and traditional methods put technicians at risk. Anyone who’s been faced with a seized race and armed with only a hammer and punch can relate all too well to the inherent danger of striking one’s own hand.

Damaging vehicle components happen more often than you think.

The traditional Hammer & Punch method can cause damage to the bearing race bore inside the hub.

This can cause the new race to seat improperly leading to premature bearing/seal failure and cause uneven tire wear. As the punch makes multiple side-to-side strikes to the race, it causes the race to come out in an un-parallel motion causing damage to the hub’s machined surface.

This kit eradicates the inevitable welding slag from damaging and contaminating the inside of the hub. If gone unnoticed, even the smallest amount of slag can make its way back into the bearing assembly causing premature failure.
